This is my Story

I’m Leigh Raymond, and I help midlife women turn decades of career experience into profitable, premium solo businesses. After a long career in advertising, marketing and executive search, I realised that the skills I’d built inside corporate life were exactly the ones I needed to create more freedom outside it.

I didn’t make the shift in my twenties with boundless energy and no responsibilities. I made it in my late forties, with a mortgage, a career identity and the usual midlife complexities. Which is why I know, without question, that this transition is entirely possible for women who want more control over their work, time and future.

Before launching Liberty & Co, I served as Head of Marketing for a major financial institution and later led the Australian Digital Division of the world’s largest executive search and recruitment firm. Those roles gave me a front-row seat to what organisations truly value, how careers evolve and, importantly, how capable corporate women underestimate themselves.

Liberty & Co exists to close that gap. I create strategic courses and resources that help women move from career to business without overwhelm, jargon or reinventing themselves from scratch. My work focuses on clarity, confidence and building a business that feels intelligent and manageable, not exhausting.

I’m originally from Africa and now call Sydney’s Northern Beaches home. The ocean provides excellent perspective, as does travel, which I’m embracing fully during my current Grown Up Gap Year. After losing my beloved husband Mike in late 2024, I decided to take time to recalibrate my life while continuing to run my business. The fact that my business allows this flexibility is precisely why I’m so passionate about helping other women build their own version of freedom.
